Bullet points, since I saw bits and pieces:
*Addison Reed blew an 8-5 lead in the ninth inning, and his problems started immediately with three straight hits. Michael Bourn's third single made it 8-6, a wild pitch cut the lead to one, and a pair of productive flyouts moved Bourn from second to home to tie the game.
*Then Nick Swisher hit a solo shot for the winning run.
*What made it extra frustrating was that the Sox had given Reed insurance runs in the eighth. Alejandro De Aza walked, stole second, and scored on Alexei Ramirez's double. Two batters later, Jeff Keppinger knocked him in with a triple.
*It should've been a rewarding victory, because Jose Quintana put the Sox in a 4-0 hole immediately during a first inning that took forever. But the Sox offense chipped away -- they came within five feet of Conor Gillaspie tying it with a first-inning slam, but had to settle for a sac fly.
*Keppinger hit an RBI single in the fifth to make it 4-2, and Mark Reynolds got the run back with a solo shot. So they had to get four in the sixth, and they did with a terrific extended effort, stringing together four hits around three walks, giving the Sox their first lead since the first inning of the doubleheader.
*Reed's blown save cost Quintana a gutsy win, as he ended up lasting six after an awful start.
*The game took three hours and 51 minutes, and that doesn't count a 25-minute delay. Add that to a four-hour, two-minute affair in the first, and any White Sox fan who hung around put in a really awful working day.
