Daylight Saving Time means Opening Day is one hour closer than it was last week. It also means spring training games start an hour later, since Arizona sidesteps the whole hour change completely.
Three reasons why the wait is worth it today:
- It's a full broadcast on MLB Network, which will presumably pick up the Milwaukee Brewers broadcast (also available on MLB.tv).
- It's the first game the White Sox will play under expanded instant replay.
- Freshly re-minted Opening Day starter Chris Sale takes the mound at Maryville.
