After signing Dayan Viciedo to a $4.4 million deal on Monday, the White Sox checked off three more names by announcing one-year contracts with Javy Guerra, Nate Jones and Hector Noesi.
- Guerra, whose signing leaked first, signed for $937,500, which was well under MLB Trade Rumors' estimate of $1.3 million.
- Jones signed for $660,000, a smidge above the prediction of $600,000.
- Noesi signed for $1.95 million, or a little more than the MLBTR's $1.9 million projection.
That runs the tally to $7.9475M in contracts to the four arbitration-eligible players under contract, or slightly below projected $8.2M sum for the four players.
That total will more than double when the Sox reach terms with the two remaining players (with projected 2015 salaries):
- Jeff Samardzija ($9.5 million)
- Tyler Flowers ($2.1 million)
