According to Daryl Van Schouwen of the Sun-Times, the White Sox will name Rick Renteria will name as their new manager on Monday, replacing Robing Ventura after five seasons. This is expected to happen at the end of season press conference the White Sox will hold Monday at 11 am.
This news comes after reports earlier this week that the White Sox had made the decision to give Robin Ventura the option to return if he wanted to. It seemed that the White Sox felt so strongly about Ventura returning that they added some fan shaming when fans objected loudly to these reports.
As the night has gone on, there’s been additional confirmation of this rumor with the confirmation that Ventura has decided to walk away amicably.
Was just told that Ventura not returning was 100% his choice #WhiteSox

Also, rumors have started to come out that the drama in the White Sox front office may be coming to an end soon. Kenny Williams’ future with the team may be coming to an end as well.
The fat lady isn't singing yet, but I'm hearing Kenny Williams may be gonezo as well

This story is still very much developing so expect updates through the weekend.
