Chicago has gotten a lot of mileage out of Veeck scoreboards.

The Cubs still cling to theirs.

The last remnants of the White Sox improvements ended their watch on October 4th, 2015, when the pinwheel light fire work mortars were officially retired.

The standard def screen came to be in 1990, with the firework launchers coming into service probably 20 years before.

I will miss her.
