White Sox recall Tommy Kahnle and Erik Johnson; place Jake Petricka on the 15-day DL

As expected, the White Sox called up Erik Johnson to take John Danks' spot on the roster and start tonight.  Along with that move, the Sox have also placed Jake Petricka on the DL retroactive to May 2 with a "right hip impingement" and recalled Tommy Kahnle to take his place.

Johnson and Kahnle have both been up with the Sox this season.  While at Charlotte, Kahnle has done well so far this season.  In 11 innings pitched, he's walked three and struck out 13 with a 2.45 ERA and a 1.88 FIP.  With the Sox, Kahnle walked two without giving up a run in an inning.

Johnson was recalled after Carlos Rodon's less than an inning start and didn't pitch while he was with the White Sox the first time.  In 21⅔ innings at Charlotte, Johnson has a decent 3.74 ERA and a not so decent 4.44 FIP.  He's now got the first chance to take fifth spot in the rotation.
