As if the White Sox haven't kept busy enough this week, the Sox have put Austin Jackson on the 15-day DL with a medial meniscus tear in his left knee. To replace him, the Sox have recalled Jason Coats from Charlotte.
Jackson just returned earlier this week from turf toe problems. After three games back, though, he's injured again with a far more serious injury. No surgery or timetable for his return was mentioned in the White Sox official release, but I would imagine that Jackson won't be back in 15 days.
Update:
Austin Jackson will have surgery on his meniscus. Rick Hahn said he's out a minimum of six weeks but no official timeline.

larry has already written about and cursed Coats and little has changed in the few games since that's been written. He's still leading the International League in batting and second in OPS.
This is exposing some issues in the outfield. Coats is a corner outfielder only. Yes, he's played center field in recent years but that was mostly when infielders took the corner outfield spots for Charlotte last year. Shuck showed his limitations in center field last week while Avi nearly deposited Tyler Saladino into the left field sod when both converged on a fly ball last week. That was solved with this lineup for tonight.
