Episode 101 is in the books in which both Jim and I sit down with two baseball experts to gain more insight on some of the Chicago White Sox shortcomings.
The rundown:
- Well, it was fun for the Ex-Sox this weekend as the Atlanta Braves take two games out of three winning the series. We discuss what is most troubling and why we can stop being afraid of James Shields starts.
- Our first interview is with Baseball America's, Ben Badler who speaks with Jim. Very insightful conversation on how the White Sox have improved since Marco Paddy has taken responsibility for international operations. Also, how the Sox fared in this year's signings and the difficulties scouting in Venezuela.
- A new friend of the podcast, Eno Sarris stops by to share some thoughts about the Sox. Why Carlos Rodon just needs to believe in his changeup and throw it more often. Why Tim Anderson should focus on walking and his launch angle, and how Avisail Garcia is toast. Eno and the team at beergraphs.com just released a new book "A Baseball Lover's Guide to Craft Beer" that is only $4.99 when using promo code BG-WELOVEYOU. For those in Chicago on Thursday, July 14th he is hosting a Fangraphs meet up at The Rocking Horse.
- Finally, we answer your questions in P.O. Sox. Of course, we talked about the curse of Avisail Garica but these also made the show:
@SouthSideSox what do we do about the catching issue?

@SouthSideSox any reason to be worried about Chris Sale? Last few starts have raised some red flags about his new strategy. #PoSox
