It was just a matter of time.
The Chicago White Sox promoted starting pitcher Dane Dunning to the Winston-Salem Dash, the team's Advanced Class-A affiliate. In his four starts with the Kannapolis Intimidators, Dunning dominated the competition with a 0.35 ERA and 33 strikeouts to just two walks. He last appeared on Wednesday, April 26th which puts Dunning at the pace to start the Monday, May 1st game against Lynchburg.
Good news for Sox fans, and with great thanks to the Winston-Salem Dash broadcast staff, Dunning's starts will be streamed on MiLB.TV and on the MiLB Fast Pitch app.
Dunning wasn't the only one to be promoted. 2016 11th round pick, reliever Ian Hamilton was promoted to the Birmingham Barons. Hamilton in seven games this season has pitched 13 innings while allowing just eight hits, one run (unearned), three walks to 10 strikeouts.
