NL Gamethreads: Brewers at Rockies (Game 3), Dodgers at Braves (Game 3)

By the time the clock strikes midnight, the NLCS could be set

Divisional Round - Colorado Rockies v Milwaukee Brewers - Game Two
Top of the Pops: Jeremy Jeffress and the rest of the Brewers are in the catbird seat, up 2-0 on the Colorado Rockies.

How scared of the NFL do you have to be to put one of your playoff games — a game with the top team in the NL, and a potential clincher, at that — on the MLB Network? Boo.

German Marquez gets the start for Colorado, as the Rockies opt to hold ace Kyle Freeland for a possible Game 4. Carlos González was heard pining for snow at tonight’s game to freak out the team from ... Milwaukee? Anyway, I get it, Miller Park has a roof.

Another series could see its end, this one taking place at the literal mall in Cobb County, Ga.

The game features another pitching twist from the trailing team: Sean Newcomb, who pitched two innings of relief in Game 1, gets the start ahead of Kevin Gausman. Newcomb takes on Dodgers phenom (I’m getting a bit tired of all these damn Dodgers phenoms) Walker Buehler.

Lineups aren’t out quite yet, but the link above connects you to the probables.

Happy viewing, for those damning your eyes from the NFL!
