Houston tries to wrap things up on enemy soil; a pitcher’s duel looms in the Bronx

Divisional Round - Cleveland Indians v Houston Astros - Game Two
Praise the Lord, I Still Have a Livelihood: Good gory hell, I’d forgotten this fella was playing a major role for Houston. There is simply no one to root for in the American League. Go Brewtown.

Houston Astros at Cleveland (12:30 CT, TBS)

Just going to put the tipoff game up for the moment, as things are starting so early today.

The matchup today is not looking favorable for the Wahoos. Dallas Keuchel has been money in his career at Progressive Field, and has also put together a strong 2018 after a slow start. Opposing starter Mike Clevinger is making his first career playoff start, and while that could spell “season-saving gem,” it more likely points to “Houston sweep.”

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees (6:40 CT, TBS)

Former Yankee Nathan Eovaldi takes the bump for the Red Sox tonight, and he’s thrown 16 consecutive scoreless innings against them this season. Luis Severino goes for the Yanks, and while he hasn’t been as perfect as Eovaldi, Severino has been excellent against Boston in 2018. An unlikely pitcher’s duel? Could be.
