Glendale Desert Dogs 4, Salt River Rafters 2
Luis Basabe (CF): 1-for-5, 1 R, 0 BB, 1 K, 1 SB
Zach Thompson: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 0 K, SV (3)
In the last game of the year, we only get a Basabe lineup appearance, and he made an impact right out of the gate. In the bottom of the first, after the Desert Dogs allowed two runs, Basabe blooped a single to open up the inning, and stole second. He would come around to score, and Glendale would tack on one more run to tie the game.

Unfortunately, the offense for Basabe, and both teams, halted after the first inning. Basabe, though he made contact in the three at-bats in that span, he recorded outs every time.
It was not until the eighth inning that Glendale was able to snap the tie, taking a 4-2 lead. (Basabe would strike out later in the inning, however.)
Going into the ninth, Thompson tried to close out a Desert Dogs win — and earn his third save of the fall — and he did just that, with a shutout inning. With this win, Glendale finishes its season at 12-18.
