- Michael Kopech, in case you hadn’t heard, makes his first spring start. Last year with the Birmingham Barons (AA) and Charlotte Knights (AAA), Kopech went 9-8 in 25 starts, with a 2.88 ERA and 65 walks against 172 strikeouts. He is on the fast track to the South Side.
- Oakland’s Kendall Graveman went 6-4 in 19 starts last year for the A’s, with a 4.19 ERA, 4.34 FIP and 2.0 WAR. Graveman is 1-1 with a 1.26 ERA vs. the White Sox in regular season action.
Here is who to expect on the mound in coming action for the White Sox. Today, beyond the main attraction of Kopech’s start, the slate includes seven pitches likely looking at an inning apiece. Look for the food combo of Fry-Danish to lock down the sixth and seventh innings.
