•’s fourth overall prospect Eloy Jimenez is in the starting lineup for the Chicago White Sox today. Get excited. He has been limited this spring due to knee tendinitis, but the injury did not seem to affect his eighth-inning plate appearance yesterday. He launched a two-run, go-ahead home run in his first at-bat since the opening week of Cactus League games.
  • Reynaldo Lopez gets the start for the White Sox. He’s been a bit wild with his control so far this spring, so hopefully he can cut down on some walks. Lopez has issued free passes to five batters in his five innings of work, but has allowed only one earned run. Effectively wild, is what they call it.
  • Don’t sleep on Ryan Cordell. He might not be the starting center fielder on Opening Day, but he is certainly making a case to earn a roster spot. Cordell is hitting .409 on the spring to go along with a .536 OBP, and hits ninth today.
  • Patrick Corbin starts for the Diamondbacks. He went 14-13 with a 4.03 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 2017.
  • Former White Sox catcher Alex Avila is behind the plate for the Diamondbacks.

Here are the lineups...

Oh, and sure, both team lineups are listed above in gorgeous Ricky Renteria script, but if you ever wanted a team Twitter-issued and poorly-formatted lineup made up completely of sometimes-inscrutable player Twitter handles, do the Arizona Diamondbacks have a lineup for you!
