The Chicago White Sox hope for better pitching performances than yesterday’s game.
- Lucas Giolito made one mistake against the Cubs in his last outing, hanging a breaking ball to Victor Caratini in the third inning, but that was all. Giolito struck out eight in four innings pitched, and his pitches were moving — a lot. The tall righthander had impressive bite to his curveball and buried it when necessary. He boasts a 3.00 spring ERA in six innings.
- Not a lot of firepower in the lineup tonight. With players like Eloy Jimenez and Luis Basabe now in the minor leagues, names like Jacob May and Jake Elmore will get at-bats when the regular starters are resting.
- Parker Bridwell starts for the Los Angeles Angels. He has pitched nine innings this spring, with a 9.00 ERA and 1.89 WHIP.
- Nicky Delmonico is not in the starting lineup, but said he is optimistic about playing in tomorrow’s game.
Here are the lineups.
