  • This lineup looks awfully close to what fans will see Opening Day, which is just three days away. Wow, that feels great to say.
  • Tim Anderson was a late scratch to the lineup below. Tyler Saladino subs for him, straight up. Both Anderson and Nicky Delmonico should be in the starting lineup Thursday against the Royals.
  • Reynaldo Lopez gets the start tonight. Lopez has, for the most part, successfully pitched around putting batters on base this spring. He has a respectable 3.86 ERA, but a rather high 1.55 WHIP. Charlotte Knights Daniel Palka and Casey Gillaspie have both homered off Lopez in the minors.
  • It appears the Opening Day bullpen is set. Nate Jones, Joakim Soria, Danny Farquhar, Gregory Infante, Juan Minaya, Aaron Bummer, Luis Avilan and Hector Santiago will take the ball from White Sox starters this season. The team elected to go with just two short-outing lefties (with southpaw Santiago seeing time as long man/spot starter), but could have easily gone with three if they chose to keep Robbie Ross Jr.

In lieu of getting a Knights lineup — they’re busy firing up the dugout heaters — let’s just take a moment to appreciate how nice the Charlotte’s BB&T Ballpark is. It has a PNC Park feel to it, wouldn’t you say?
