Well, that wasn’t fun last night. Hopefully the bats will wake up tonight against Trevor Cahill and the Oakland A’s.

  • This will be Cahill’s first start in 2018. He began the season in Triple-A and racked up 9 ⅔ innings, giving up four runs on four hits and seven walks. Be patient tonight, White Sox.
  • Miguel Gonzalez gets the start for the White Sox. The righthander has struggled early on this season with an 8.68 ERA and 7.69 FIP.
  • White Sox starting pitchers have issued 41 walks this season, the most in the American League.
  • Adam Engel and Welington Castillo get the night off.
  • The White Sox and A’s will wear 1968 uniforms to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Oakland’s first home game. Fans were given free tickets to attend tonight’s game.
