Well, that first game was certainly fun. Let’s see if the Sox can take the first four of this five-game series.

• Dylan Covey gets the start for the Sox tonight. He’s a career -1.4 WAR player in the majors and boasts a 7.71 ERA. However, he has started four games for the Triple-A Charlotte Knights and has posted a 2.35 ERA in 21 ¹⁄₃ innings. Getting five innings out of him tonight would be magnificent.
• Eric Skoglund starts for the Royals. In his three starts this season, Skoglund has an 8.59 ERA and a 1.57 WHIP. On paper, this should be a battle of the bullpens tonight. We’ll see.
