Jose Rondon: 2-for-5, 1 RBI, 0 BB, 0 K
Kevan Smith: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 2 K
Casey Gillaspie: 1-for-3, 1 R, 1RBI, 1 BB, 1 K

Patrick Leonard: 2-for-4, 1 HR, 0 BB, 0 K **MVP**
TJ House: 5 1⁄3 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 2 BB, 5 K
Jace Fry: 1 2⁄3 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
Charlotte trailed until the eighth inning, as the bats and bullpen had to clean up after TJ House’s starts. Patrick Leonard went deep in the sixth to cut the Tides’s lead to one. Leonard is quietly having a solid first month of the season, with a .288 batting average. Eddy Alvarez plated the game-winning run with a double in the eighth inning, but the real heroes of the game were Jace Fry and Jeanmar Gomez. They combined for 3 2⁄3 shutout innjngs in relief ,which the Knights bats took advantage of for the 6-5 win.
Biloxi Shuckers 5, Birmingham Barons 4
He’s done it again! @Lamantha21 hits his second HR in as many days, this time a 3-run blast 427 feet to LF to put the Barons up 3-2 after 5. That’s 6 straight games with an RBI for the @whitesox top prospect. #NextSox pic.twitter.com/eOaQEVJxkH

Tito Polo: 1-for-4, 0 BB, 1 K
Zack Collins: 1-for-4, 0 BB, 2 K
Eloy Jimenez: 1-for-4, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 0 BB, 1 K **MVP**
Seby Zavala: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 3 K
Matt Rose: 2-for-3, 1 HR, 1 BB, 0 K
Jordan Guerrero: 5 1⁄3 IP, 6 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 8 K
Another day, another bomb from Eloy Jimenez. In the fifth inning, Jimenez smashed a three-run homer (fourth of the year) to left field to give the Barons a 3-2 lead. Unfortunately, Jordan Guerrero and Connor Walsh could not keep the lead. Seby Zavala had a rough game today, as he struck out three times. Another member of the Jose Quintana deal, Matt Rose, continued his recent tear with a solo shot. However, Birmingham could not come back from another deficit today, as they lose 5-4.
Wilmington Blue Rocks 3, Winston-Salem Dash 0
.@flo_rider95 registers his third quality start of the year (6IP, 3R, 0ER), but the Dash fall 3-0 against Wilmington on Sunday. pic.twitter.com/M0O308PwNZ

Luis Alexander Basabe: 0-for-3, 0 BB, 1 K
Alex Call: 0-for-3, 0 BB, 1 K
Blake Rutherford: 1-for-4, 0 BB, 0 K
Micker Adolfo: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 3 K
Yeyson Yrizarri: 0-for-3, 0 BB, 0 K
Gavin Sheets: 1-for-3, 1 BB, 0 K
Bernardo Flores: 6 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 4 K **MVP**
The Blue Rocks were able to plate three runs (with the help of a Yeyson Yrizarri error) and keep the Dash lineup at bay in a 3-0 win. The Dash did not look in sync, as they were punched out 10 times and only reached base five ( four hits, one walk). Of the top prospects, Gavin Sheets and Blake Rutherford were the only ones to reach base. Sheets was the only Dash batter to reach twice in the game (double and a walk). Bernardo Flores saw three unearned runs cross home plate off of a home run. After a hot week, the Dash have slumped back to even, with a 12-12 record.
Lakewood BlueClaws 1, Kannapolis Intimidators 0
Luis Gonzalez is putting together a perfect day at the plate for @Intimidators. The #WhiteSox No. 18 prospect is 3-for-3 through five innings: https://t.co/IAMMuulkv4 pic.twitter.com/0jVbZd47kJ
— MLB Pipeline (@MLBPipeline) April 29, 2018
Luis Gonzalez: 3-for-5, 0 BB, 1 K
Laz Rivera: 2-for-5, 0 BB, 1 K
Justin Yurchak: 0-for-3, 2 BB, 0 K
Tate Blackman: 0-for-2, 2 BB, 0 K, 1 SB
John Parke: 7 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K **MVP**
Usually when a team’s first three batters reach base a combined seven times, runs are plentiful. But not this time for Kannapolis, as it cannot drive in a run in a 1-0 loss to the BlueClaws. Luis Gonzalez did his job as a leadoff hitter, reaching base three times, including a double. Heading into today’s game, Kannapolis pitching had combined for a 2.41 ERA, and John Parke continued that trend with a brilliant seven innings, one earned run and two hits. After Parke’s outing, his WHIP will be less than 1.00 for the season.
