The Good.
Tim Anderson owns J.A. Happ. He went 3-for-3 with a home run against the Toronto Blue Jays starter, chasing him after 5 1⁄3 innings. He stole second and third base in the frame before scoring on a ground out.
Avisail Garcia hit an absolute bomb estimated at 481 feet. He went 3-for-5 on the night.
The Chicago White Sox homered three times, with Yolmer Sanchez getting his first blast of the season in the 8th.
The Bad.
All three HR were solo shots.
Miguel Gonzalez gave up six runs, five earned in five innings of work.
J.A. Happ struck out nine White Sox hitters through 5 1/3 innings on his way to a win.
Hector Santiago worked 2 1⁄3 , giving up three more earned runs.
The Ugly.
Gregory Infante started his night with a walk, a ground-rule double and another walk (IBB). He only managed one out, picking up five earned runs on his tab.
Yoan Moncada went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts. (He did draw a walk, at least.)
Matt Davidson went 0-for-5 with three strikeouts.
The White Sox struck out more times than they reached base. Thirteen Ks vs. 12 baserunners.
The Blue Jays sent 11 men to the plate in the 8th inning. They doubled their runs from seven to 14 to go up 2-0 in the series, with a chance to sweep tomorrow.
