Donn Roach was ridiculously good on Wednesday night, tossing seven shutout innings and striking out nine Bulls. Roach threw 96 pitches (62 for strikes) for an insane game score of 79. Over his last six starts, Roach has allowed six earned runs in 38 2/3 innings. The Knights scored the only run of the ballgame in the third inning when Eddy Alvarez doubled to center field and scored on Jacob May’s line drive single to center. In his second rehab game, Avisail Garcia went hitless and is now 1-for-5 with a walk.

Good News: Look at these doggies! https://t.co/VPUzUrVrnQ
Chattanooga Lookouts 14, Birmingham Barons 4
Danny Mendick (.245): 1-for-2, 2B, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Zack Collins (.272): 0-for-2, 1 RBI, 1 BB

Keon Barnum (.196): 2-for-4, 1 RBI ***MVP***
L: Matt Tomshaw (1-4, 6.14 ERA), 4 IP, 11 H, 11 ER, 1 BB, 3 K
This got ugly early on as Chattanooga scored two in the first inning, four runs in the third and six more in the fourth making Matt Tomshaw look like he was serving up home-run derby pitches. Tomshaw got through the fourth, allowing 12 runs (11 earned) on 11 hits while serving up three homers. The Barons cut it to 12-4 after seven innings, but that was as close as they would get. Following his two-homer night, Keon Barnum had a pair of hits and an RBI. Danny Mendick and Ryan Brett each had RBI doubles as well.
We continued our #DashToThePostseason tonight with a sweep-clinching win over Myrtle Beach on Wednesday.

Joel Booker (.291): 2-for-3, 2 2B, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 SB (14)
Alex Call (.262): 1-for-3, 3B, 1 RBI, 1 R, 1 BB

S: Matt Foster (7, 2.33 ERA), 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 2 K
The Dash plated two in the first inning and another in the third and that was enough for LHP Tanner Banks and the bullpen on Wednesday. Banks was brilliant once again, allowing just one earned run in seven innings to lower his ERA to 2.73 on the season. Banks threw 100 pitches (64 for strikes) and finished with a 60 game score. CF Joel Booker set the table throughout the night, with a pair of doubles. Booker came around to score once, walked once and stole his 14th base. 2B Ti’Quan Forbes’ RBI single in the third inning proved to be the game-winner. 1B Gavin Sheets also contributed a pair of hits, including a double, and scored on Forbes’ third-inning single.
Tonight’s game against the Delmarva Shorebirds has been cancelled due to inclement weather. Tonight’s game will not be made up. We will be playing a double header as scheduled tomorrow starting at 4:35 p.m.

Johnabiell Laureano (.189): 1-for-5, 2B
Jose Rodriguez (.381): 2-for-4, 2B, 1 RBI
Ulises Martinez (.286): 3-for-4, 1 R

L: Edgar Navarro (0-1, 6.23 ERA), 4 IP, 8 H, 7 ER, 2 BB, K
Starting pitcher Yordi Rosario pitched great -- for two innings -- then it all fell apart for the DSL White Sox on Wednesday. First reliever in, Edgar Navarro, allowed seven runs in four innings of work and the defense committed four errors in the loss. Ulises Martinez came through with a three-hit day and scored a run, while Jose Rodriguez raised his average to .381 with two hits including an RBI double in the fifth inning. However, the DSL White Sox struck out 12 times to go with their seven hits.
