Last night was awesome. Yeah, the Sox winning was cool, but it was all about Danny Farquhar. Loved seeing all his teammates with smiles on their faces watching Farquhar throw out that first pitch. Just great.
- As for today, James Shields is on the bump for the Sox. Shields posted a 3.38 ERA in May, which followed a 6.17 ERA in April. While he certainly won’t bring back a King’s ransom in a trade, I think the Sox should weigh their options and see if any teams are interested in the veteran.
- Jhoulys Chacin gets the start for the Brew Crew. Chacin had one of his worst outings of the season his last time out, allowing five runs over 6 1⁄3 innings against the New York Mets. However, he’s been one of the best starters in that Milwaukee rotation, posting a 3.69 ERA and a 4.20 FIP.
- The Sox have won 13 of their last 16 against the Brewers. Why? Heh, no clue. Remember Mark Buehrle’s home run? It was in Milwaukee.
