  • Carlos Rodon gets the start for the White Sox today. Rodon hasn’t been his best in his last two starts but has gone at least five or more innings in both. The big lefty will face a tough Athletics lineup that is no stranger to the long ball.
  • Paul Blackburn gets the nod for the Athletics. Blackburn is 1-1 with an 8.03 ERA in three starts this season. He’s posted a 1.54 WHIP with a 5.11 K/9. A favorable matchup to go along with a lively ballpark should mean a high-scoring game for the Sox, but ya never know.
  • The White Sox also announced they have sent Miguel Gonzalez on a rehab assignment to Class AAA Charlotte. He is scheduled to get the start today versus Toledo.
  • The Sox bullpen in its first 19 games in June? A 1.75 ERA. The last four games? A 7.80 ERA.
