  • The Sox 40-man roster decreased to 39 after they outrighted catcher Alfredo Gonzalez to AAA Charlotte. Gonzalez did get his first major league hit on an RBI single in Sunday’s victory over the Milwaukee Brewers.
  • Hector Santiago gets the start for the White Sox tonight. He holds a 5.10 overall ERA, but has found some success on the road with a 3.68 ERA away from Guaranteed Rate Field.
  • Jake Odorizzi gets the start for the Twins. He is coming off his worst start of season, going only 3 23 innings while allowing seven earned runs against the Cleveland Indians. Odorizzi boasts a 3-2 record with a 4.14 ERA.
