Jose Rondon: 1-for-4, 1 HR, 0 BB, 1 K
Eloy Jimenez: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 1 K
Spencer Adams: 6 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 2 K **MVP**
Thyago Vieira: 1 IP, 0 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
It was another strong start for Spencer Adams, as he scuttled through six innings of shutout baseball while putting eight runners on base. However, Drew Pomeranz was outdueling Adams — until Jose Rondon ended Pomeranz’s no-hit bid with a home run in the sixth inning. That was Rondon’s 10th homer in Charlotte, and 13th overall on the year. Adams has lowered his ERA to 3.32. Thyago Vieira closed out the game with a perfect ninth inning, as the Knights won, 3-0. With Charlie Tilson getting sent down today and Nicky Delmonico not starting, it seems like Delmonico will be back with the South Siders on Friday.

The Barons WALK OFF on a single to center from @Matt_Rose_5 against former teammate Brad Goldberg to win the opener of the series!! #NextSox pic.twitter.com/thDXyvrMTy
Joel Booker: 1-for-4, 1 R, 1 RBI, 0 BB, 2 K
Luis Basabe: 1-for-3, 1 HR, 3 R, 2 BB, 1 K **MVP**
Zack Collins: 1-for-3, 1 R, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 1 K

Jameson Fisher: 1-for-3, 1 BB, 2 K
Alec Hansen: 5 IP, 3 H, 4 ER, 6 BB, 3 K
It was another tough day on the mound for Alec Hansen, as he struggled with his command. He was able to keep away from the big hit, but six walks doomed his start. However, on the hitting side, the Barons put 19 runners on base, via nine walks and 10 hits. The big hit was by Futures Game star Luis Basabe, a solo home run in the sixth to help extend the Barons lead. Danny Mendick also had a good game, as he was the only batter to have multiple hits, as everybody else had just one. After a blown save by Jose Ruiz, Matt Rose came up big, with a bases-loaded knock that scored two to win the game.
Carolina Mudcats 5, Winston-Salem Dash 3
Due to a go-ahead, two-run homer from Cooper Hummel, the Dash fell 5-3 against the Mudcats on Wednesday.

Luis Gonzalez: 1-for-2, 1 BB, 0 K
Laz Rivera: 2-for-3, 1 R, 1 RBI, 0 BB, 0 K, 1 SB **MVP**
Blake Rutherford: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 0 K
Gavin Sheets: 0-for-4, 0 BB, 2 K
John Parke: 6 IP, 8 H, 3 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
After a first inning, two-run homer allowed by John Parke, and another run in the second, the crafty starter settled down for the next four innings and did not allow another run. Even with allowing three runs in the first two innings, Parke still was able garner a quality start. However, on the hitting side, the Dash did not help Parke much. Laz Rivera keeps on hitting, with his 10th double with the Dash, and he added another single, producing two runs. Meanwhile, Luis Gonzalez joined the extra-base parade, with his first triple in Winston-Salem, but he was left stranded.
Great Falls Voyagers 9, Orem Owls 4
Another Zangari two run HR in the 4th and it's 8-0 @gfvoyagers going B4. Sowers also had an RBI triple.
— Great Falls Voyagers (@gfvoyagers) July 19, 2018
Lenyn Sosa: 3-for-5, 2 R, 1 BB, 0 K
Logan Sowers: 3-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI, 1 BB, 2 K
Corey Zangari: 2-for-5, 2 HR, 4 RBI, 0 BB, 2 K **MVP**
Gunnar Troutwine: 0-for-5, 0 BB, 1 K
Jonathan Stiever: 2 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 K
Another level, another win in the Sox system. This one was an offensive showcase for the Voyagers. Six Voyagers hitters had multiple hits, and that included Logan Sowers, who raised his average to .350. Lenyn Sosa also brought his season average back above .300. However, the man of the day was Corey Zangari, again, as he hit a pair of two-run home runs. Zangari now has nine on the year, which will hopefully push the Sox to promote him. Jonathan Stiever started this game, but only went two innings. It does seem doubtful he will resume a full starting workload this season, but he has been successful in his truncated appearances, with a 2.40 ERA.
AZL Diamondbacks 10, AZL White Sox 4
Bryce Bush just hit a no doubter to left field for his first homer since joining the #WhiteSox. It was a two run shot to put the Sox on the board. It's a 10-2 game in the 7th #AZL

Camilo Quinteiro: 0-for-3, 0 BB, 2 K
Luis Mieses: 1-for-5, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 0 BB, 0 K
Ryan Cordell: 1-for-3, 0 BB, 2 K
Steele Walker: 2-for-2, 0 BB, 0 K
Lency Delgado: 1-for-3, 1 BB, 1 K
Bryce Bush: 2-for-4, 1 HR, 2 RBI, 0 BB, 0 K **MVP**
Cabera Weaver: 0-for-1, 0 BB, 0 K
Konnor Pilkington: 1 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 0 BB, 0 K
It was a 2018 draft bonanza in Arizona today, and a friendly sighting of Ryan Cordell as a bonus. Steele Walker was perfect from the plate, as he slapped two singles in two at-bats. Bryce Bush provided the first sign of offense in the seventh inning, with a two-run homer that stopped the shutout. The surprise draft signing is hitting .385 in the early going. Konnor Pilkington made his professional debut, but it did not go well. He faced eight batters and surrendered five hits. After his injury, Cordell is back on a diamond, where he recorded a single.
Jose Rodriguez: 2-for-4, 0 BB, 1 K
Jefferson Mendoza: 0-for-3, 0 BB, 1 K
Cristofer Melendez: 5 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 10 K **MVP**
The DSL Sox lose another heartbreaker, this time on a walk-off. Jose Rodriguez was able to tack on a couple singles to his season and is now hitting .271 on the year, the best average on the team for a regular starter. Cristofer Melendez is also having a great season so far. After his five innings of no runs allowed, he now has a 2.15 ERA. His 10 strikeouts this game was a season high, and he lowered his batting average against to .175.
