- Dylan Covey gets the start for the White Sox today. After impressing in his first five starts this season, Covey has really struggled. He is 1-7 with an 8.24 ERA over his last nine starts. The right-hander did turn in a solid performance his last time out against the Yankees, throwing 6 1⁄3 innings and giving up four runs. He’ll have another tough test today against a good Indians lineup today.
- Carlos Carrasco gets the ball for the Indians. He turned in a dominant performance last time against the Sox, throwing seven innings of scoreless ball while striking out 11. Carrasco allowed 10 hits over six frames in his last outing, so hopefully the Sox can jump on him early.
- Yoan Moncada moves two spots up in the lineup today after having some success in the eight-hole.
- Daniel Palka ranks among the American League rookie leaders this season in home runs (T1st, 18), slugging percentage (3rd, .502), RBI (T3rd, 46) and total bases (T3rd, 135). He is hitting fourth today.
Dylan Covey takes the bump as we close out the homestand. Here are today's #WhiteSox starters:
