Reynaldo López tries for a third straight quality start

Happy Camper: Reynaldo López smiles after Adam Engel’s heroics take his no-hitter into the sixth last week against the New York Yankees.

Reynaldo Lopez is on the bump for the White Sox tonight, looking to build upon his previous two quality starts. Over Lopez’s last two starts, he is 0-0 after giving seven quality innings in both games, allowing only a combined three earned runs, while fanning 10 and walking four.

Here’s hoping Ricky’s Boys can provide López with a little run support this evening, especially considering they will be facing off against a pitcher with only two major league starts this year.

Which brings us to Lopez’s counterpart for the evening, Artie Lewicki. Lewicki was called up last week following the trade of Mike Fiers to the Oakland A’s. In his only appearance since being called up, Fiers came in for three innings of relief work last week in a loss against the Angels. He allowed three hits and one earned run, and struck out five. When used as a starter this year, Fiers has a record of 0-2, lasting five and 3 23 innings and allowing 11 hits and five earned runs.
