Also, RHP Alec Hansen gets demoted from Double-A Birmingham to High-A Winston-Salem along with a couple other roster moves.
The @whitesox have also announced the following roster moves affecting the Dash:

Plus, an interesting read on how the opposition is trying to pitch to Eloy Jimenez (without much success, obviously):
Facing top #WhiteSox prospect Eloy Jimenez can put fear in pitchers, and he's only getting better. What's the approach against him? The opposition weighs in: https://t.co/i8ql1DLz3E

Birmingham draws a little closer in the 6th on an RBI double from the birthday boy @Matt_Rose_5 and a ground out from Jameson Fisher, but the Barons still trail 7-3 after 6.

Mobile BayBears 8, Birmingham Barons 4
Alex Call (.289): 1-for-4, 2B, 1 BB
Trey Michalczewski (.270): 2-for-4, 1 RBI ***MVP***
Danny Mendick (.245): 1-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 BB
Bryant Flete (.247): 2-for-5, 1 R
Matt Rose (.198): 1-for-4, 2B, 1 RBI, 1 R
Jameson Fisher (.226): 2-for-3, 1 R, 1 BB
L: Tanner Banks (2-3, 3.72 ERA), 4 IP, 9 H, 6 ER, 2 BB, 1 K
Starting pitcher Tanner Banks just didn’t have it on Thursday, giving up six runs on nine hits in four innings. Granted, mother nature didn’t help much. Him and the Barons were down just 1-0 when they entered a rain delay and immediately out of it, Banks gave up two more in the first inning. The Barons trailed 7-0 before they ever got on the board. Trey Michalczewski, Bryant Flete and Jameson Fisher each had two hits, combining for six of the Barons’ 10 hits in the game. Matt Rose had a RBI double and scored a run on his birthday.
Well, we tried our best, but Mother Nature wouldn't let us play today.

The @gfvoyagers lose tonight 10-2. BIL has won four straight in the season series. Back on the road tomorrow night at Missoula for the first of three.
— Great Falls Voyagers (@gfvoyagers) August 3, 2018
Billings Mustangs 10, Great Falls Voyagers 2
Lenyn Sosa (.306): 1-for-5, 1 RBI
Gunnar Troutwine (.265): 3-for-4, 1 R ***MVP***
Jason Bilous (4.94 ERA): 3 IP, 3 H, 2 R (1 ER), 1 BB, 2 K
L: Davis Martin (0-1, 12.00 ERA), 1 IP, 3 H, 4 ER, 1 BB, 1 K
The Voyagers were tied 2-2 after three innings but Billings put up four runs in the fourth inning, tacked on three in the ninth and handed Great Falls a lopsided loss on Thursday. The Voyagers managed just six hits -- half of them by Gunnar Troutwine, who also scored one of the two runs. Most of Billings’ damage came off of relieer Davis Martin, who allowed all four runs in that fourth inning. But it wasn’t just Martin who struggled as Voyagers pitching yielded 14 hits including two home runs. Voyagers SS Lenyn Sosa got credit for the only RBI of the night.
AZL White Sox vs AZL Angels, Postponed (wind/sand)
Jorgen Rosas (.243): 2-for-4, 2 2B, 1 RBI, 2 R
Jose Rodriguez (.292): 2-for-4, 3B, 2B, 2 RBI, 2 R, 1 SB (9) ***CO-MVP***
Jhoneiker Betancourt (.255): 1-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 R, 1 BB
Jefferson Mendoza (.207): 2-for-4, 2B, 1 R
Johnabiell Laureano (.205): 1-for-4, 1 RBI
Samil Polanco (.263): 2-for-3, 2B, 1 R
W: Yoelvin Silven (1-4, 2.98 ERA), 6 IP, 3 H, 1 R (0 ER), 1 BB, 9 K ***CO-MVP***
Starting pitcher Yoelvin Silven finally got some run supporter and earned his first win of the season by giving up zero earned runs over six innings and striking out nine. He has a an ERA under 3.00 but only one win, winding up on the losing end four times despite several quality outings. DSL White Sox started strong with four runs in the first inning, then added three in the seventh inning to put this one away. Four batters had multiple hits as the squad had 10 on the day -- including six for extra bases. Jose Rodriguez, who started out the DSL season on fire, is getting hot again. Rodriguez tripled, doubled, drove in a pair of runs, scored a pair of runs and stole his ninth base. Jorgen Rosas also got in on the fun with two doubles, one RBI and two runs scored. The only negative for DSL White Sox in this one is some poor defense as they made three errors -- two of the throwing variety by 3B Harold Diaz.
