Sox fans have just one more day until they can watch Michael Kopech take the mound on the South Side. Tonight’s game will be played in Minnesota at an earlier time, while tomorrow’s game will be back in Chicago.
- Lucas Giolito gets the start for the White tonight. Giolito gave up three first inning runs in his last outing against the Detroit Tigers, but settled down nicely after that. The tall right-hander still has a 6.15 season ERA, but lately he’s increased his strikeouts, which is a promising sign.
- The Minnesota Twins will call up and start one of their best prospects tonight. Stephen Gonsalves is the Twins’ No. five prospect and will take the hill. Gonsalves has a career 2.46 minor league ERA and is a soft-tossing left-handed pitcher, so watch out.
Lineups:
.@LGio27, who is 2-1 with a 3.09 ERA in his past 4 road starts, takes the ball tonight for your #WhiteSox.
