- Reynaldo Lopez gets the start for the White Sox tonight. Lopey has really been struggling over the past few months. He has a 5.06 ERA in August to go along with just 24 strikeouts in just 26 2⁄3 innings. Yuck. Hopefully Lopez can turn it around against a still-potent Yankees lineup without Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez and Didi Gregorious.
- CC Sabathia gets the start for the Yankees tonight. The big lefty had one of his best starts of the year against the Sox on Aug. 7, throwing 5 2⁄3 innings with 12 strikeouts. It was vintage CC that night. Maybe the Sox can jump on him early tonight.
Lineups (yikes):
Yolmer Sánchez has reached base safely in a career-high 16 consecutive games.
