S: Jose Ruiz (11, 3.57 ERA), 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K
Leading 3-1 in the seventh inning, starting pitcher Bernardo Flores finally ran into trouble and allowed Mobile to even the score. But, the Barons wasted no time getting the runs back by plating two in the bottom half of the inning and never looking back in Monday’s victory. Flores wasn’t quite as sharp as he has been but still earned a quality start once again. Reliever Colton Turner kept his ERA under 1.00 with 1 1/3 innings of strong relief before handing off to Jose Ruiz who earned his 11th save of the season. Zack Collins and Danny Mendick led the way at the plate. Collins doubled twice, drove in two runs, scored a run and... of course... walked. Mendick had three hits, including a double, drove in one run and scored one run. Joel Booker also had two hits and scored a run. Currently, Booker, Collins and Mendick are all hitting .247 on the season (granted, Collins and Mendick each have far more Double-A at-bats than Booker).

Luis Gonzalez (.296): 1-for-2, 2B, 1 RBI, 2 R, 2 BB
Laz Rivera (.307): 2-for-4, 2 R, 1 SB (8)

S: Tyler Johnson (2, 1.77 ERA), 1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 0 K
Three runs in the fourth inning followed by three in the seventh inning were all the Dash needed to gain a win on Monday night. Yermin Mercedes led the offensive charge with two hits, including a triple, two RBI and a run scored. Nick Madrigal didn’t have a hit, but managed to contribute nonetheless with a RBI groundout and RBI sac fly to right field. He also smoked a ball into the right-center gap but the Myrtle Beach rightfielder made a nice running grab. Luis Gonzalez came through with a RBI double, scored twice and reached base twice via walk. RHP Luis Martinez had easily his best start since July 8 as he allowed just one run on four hits in seven splendid innings. Prior to this ballgame, Martinez had been in a major funk, allowing 17 earned runs in 22 innings over his previous four starts.
DSL White Sox 4, DSL Blue Jays 2
Harold Diaz (.280): 2-for-5, 1 SB (6)
Edwin Peralta (.172): 1-for-3, 1 RBI, 1 R
Jose Rodriguez (.288): 1-for-5, 1 R, 1 SB (10)

Samil Polanco (.275): 2-for-4, 1 SB (10)
W: Wilber Perez (6-1, 1.46 ERA), 7 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 4 K ***MVP***
S: Luis Nin (3, 1.72 ERA), 1 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 BB, 1 K
Starting pitcher Wilber Perez continues to be one of the brightest stars on the DSL White Sox. He pitched seven shutout innings vs DSL Blue Jays on Monday, allowing just four hits while striking out four to earn his sixth win and drop his ERA to 1.46 on the season. Perez, a native of the Dominican Republic, has allowed zero runs in seven of his last 10 starts. Offensively, DSL White Sox used one big inning -- a three-run sixth -- to propel them to victory. 3B Harold Diaz and 2B Samil Polanco each had a pair of hits to combine for half of the squad’s eight hits on the day. DSL White Sox had their running cleats on, stealing three bases in this one.
