Best of worst

Currently sitting in my spanish class waiting for a homecoming pep assembly to being and this is the best thing I can.

White Sox Best of 2018

Best pitcher: Jace Fry- In terms of performance, this goes to Reynaldo Lopez, but in terms of development, Jace made leaps and bounds in terms of his development.

Best position player: Daniel Palka- Came in with little to no expectations and comes out a prolific power threat and above average clutch performer

Best reliever: Jace Fry- see above

Best defender: Adam Engel- Already known by White Sox fans to be an elite defender, made himself known throughout baseball with his home run robberies. I low key love Adam and I want him to succeed in every possible way, as he has torii hunter defensive ability and if he had a league average bat he'd easily be a 4 win player

Favorite player: Yolmer Sanchez- Yolmer is the greatest player to ever grace this Earth. Enough said.

Overall MVP (hitter or pitcher): James Shields- odd choice but bear with me. Not the greatest in terms of years by any means, but for him to go 7 innings a night, especially in June and July when our bullpen was being overworked and to put us in a position to win, he, in my opinion, provided the greatest value to us.

Rookie of the Year: Daniel Palka- see above

Breakout star: Tim Anderson- other than Yolmer, Timmy is my favorite player and for him to put his speed and power on display for the whole year, AND significantly improve his defense, he broke out in a big way, and I expect even more breakout the coming years.

Best single play: Any of the Adam Engel robberies

Best single game: The Dylan Covey game against Boston beating Chris Sale

Prospect you’re most excited for: Eloy Jimenez, yet he should not even be considered a prospect at this point

Best nickname, Players’ Weekend or otherwise: What you guys called it when Palka hit a home run, PALK-SMASH!!

Best rivalry: Hard to have a rivalry when you lose more than 90 games but I would have to go with the Royals

Eloy ETA: Tomorrow

Favorite moment of Hawk’s broadcasting career: His call of Dwayne Wise's catch in Buehrle's perfect game

Best promotion/innovation/development: Hawk collectibles they gave away on Hawk day
