2020 South Side Sox Prospect Vote: Round 5

Vote for the fifth-best prospect in the White Sox system!

MLB: Kansas City Royals at Chicago White Sox
Fast track to the South Side: “Professional hitter” Vaughn may not be up in 2020, but he’s not long for our Prospect Poll, either.
Quinn Harris-USA TODAY Sports

Three years in, we finally have our act together enough to kick off our prospect vote so the end doesn’t run into the regular season.

Here’s how 2018 wrangled out — all 42 picks. Also, here’s an archive of every article in the 2018 series. Here’s how 2019 came together, all 50 picks, and the archive as well.

You’ll recall an odd Russian-bot sacking of our vote at some point last year around pick No. 10 or so, and we reduced the number of names on the ballot from 25 to five. Fingers crossed, we’ll put 10 players on the ballot for each round this year. There are some cursory stats attached to help you out in your decision-making, but all the great bio writing from WSM you’re used to seeing here is over at South Side Hit Pen, as we count down the Top 100 White Sox Prospects over there.

By starting our vote here and the Top 100 countdown at SSHP at the same time, by the time the SSHP Top 100 has counted from 100 to 50, this SSS poll vote will have counted down from 1 to 50. We’ll meet in the middle, with the SSS poll vote factoring in the order of our final 50 prospects.

Sound cool? Now, get voting!

Poll newbie Andrew Vaughn fills out the top four, earning 460 of 621 (74%) votes. In last year’s poll, Luis Robert finished fourth.

It was another big voting day, with 621 in this round. Again I’ll ask all of you to take a moment to click over to SSHP to participate in the Veteran’s Ballot over there, because the traffic patterns are still much stronger here at SSS.
