Well, here we are, again. Games start on Saturday, whether or not the Chicago White Sox have a full, major league roster ready to go.
And what better way to show off your Not Ready for Opening Day Players than to start spring training off with split-squad action!
Both games are available on MLB.TV. WGN-AM has the Camelback game broadcast.
At Camelback, where the White Sox will host scores of fans adorned in blue, Donn Roach is taking the pill, with a not-entirely-out-of-the-realm-Opening-Day lineup behind him.
Split squad action to start our #SoxSpringTraining games!

In Mesa, South Side Sox’s very own Kim Contreras (KimCinAZ) will be among those taking in Chicago’s B-team, facing ex-White Sox Marcus Semien, Chris Bassitt and the Oakland A’s:

As last year, the fifth-starter fight will go mano a mano this spring training, as top contender Manny Bañuelos gets the Monday start at the Giants, followed by top challenger Dylan Covey. Tuesday, Jimmy Lambert takes the hill against the Royals. Reynaldo López is the first of the team’s definite starters to see action, Wednesday vs. Cincinnati.
