The White Sox will look to pick up where they left off on Saturday as they square off against the Indians at Camelback Ranch. Yesterday’s game will be a tough act to follow, as Eloy and Moncada combined to go 6-for-7 with a walk and two home runs as they beat the star-studded Dodgers.
Today’s probable starter is 25-year old right-hander Zach Thompson. He has pitched well this spring, as he enters with a 1.23 ERA, limiting opposing hitters to a .574 OPS in 7 1⁄3 innings. In 75 1⁄3 innings of work across A+ and AA last year, he had a sparkling 1.55 ERA, though the advanced peripherals were not quite as impressive.
Thompson will be facing 23-year old right-hander Shane Bieber, who made his MLB debut last year. Bieber had a 4.55 ERA, but his FIP (3.23) and xFIP (3.30) showed that he was probably unlucky to allow as many runs as he did.
The starting lineups are as follows:

Shortly before today’s matchup, the White Sox announced that José Ruiz has been optioned to Charlotte. As a result, 34 players remain in camp.
Also, the bullpen was announced.

Overall, not many surprises on this list, as most of these guys have a solid track record and/or good numbers this spring. It is also nice to see a good mix of righties and lefties here.
The White Sox enter this matchup with a 9-17 spring record. The game will start at 2:05 CST and will be available on NBC Sports Chicago. Only three Spring Training games to go!
