We have been here before. After a good weekend series for the White Sox with two wins, the Sox are back to playing the lowly Orioles. They can’t lose two series to Baltimore, right? Well, Manny Bañuelos hopes to help get the Sox off on the right foot against the O’s again.
After his four-inning start last Monday that featured a 57 Game Score, Bañuelos will look to stymie the Orioles again. With his last start and Ervin Santana’s DFA, Bañuelos is the new fifth starter, at least for the time being. With a week’s rest, he should go more than four innings this time around.
John Means will be on the bump for Baltimore again and if you remember last week’s series, he was able to keep the Sox bats cold. He went five innings, with a 64 Game Score, and earned another crack in the rotation. Jose Abreu had the lone extra-base hit and RBI against Means last week.
