Hey, it’s great to be back!
I plan on covering every Tuesday game for SSS as well as letting out my frustrations, and, well, recent happiness (?) in the comments sections of gamethreads.
But to the much more important stuff...
- Manny Banuelos takes the hill for the Sox today. I could see Ricky Renteria having a short leash with the lefty, especially because of the off day tomorrow. Banuelos lasted just 4 1⁄3 against Cleveland in his last start, walking five (recommended to not do that this time around) and giving up five earned runs.
- Carlos Carrasco will start for Cleveland. He was dominant against the Sox last Thursday, giving up no runs over five rain-shortened innings. He could have gone 7+ with the way he was pitching. But, seeing a pitcher a second time this quickly always helps. We’ll see.
- Yoan Moncada gets the day off. Yes, that’s right...you get to see Nicky Delmonico setting the table for Jose Abreu! All Star candidate James McCann back in the lineup, too. Kudos to Daryl Van Schouwen for calling Moncada’s off day last night...
Wouldn’t be stunned if Renteria’s motivation for Moncada was day off tomorrow (afternoon). Moncada has played all 40 games. Off day Weds provides 2-day break, which RR likes to give when he can.

And some other news...
Leury Garcia said the back injury absolutely won't be an IL trip. He hit, ran and threw and is available today.
