Though the White Sox (19-22) have won three of their last four games, in their most recent outing, Cleveland (22-19) fired on all cylinders as they beat they crushed the Sox 9-0.

Dylan Covey will get the start today for the White Sox. This will be Covey’s third start and fifth appearance this season. He enters with a 5.91 ERA, 7.41 FIP, and a 7.76 xFIP in the early going. A big question for tonight is whether or not he can make it through at least five innings to minimize the bullpen’s workload. In both of his starts, he lasted 4 23 innings.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jays (17-25) will turn to 28-year old righty Marcus Stroman to square off against Covey. Stroman enters with a 1-6 record despite an excellent 3.12 ERA, as he has been dealing with some serious Quintana luck.

Here are today’s starting lineups:

Yoán Moncada is back in the lineup after having Tuesday off. On Monday, he went 3-for-4 with two home runs. Those were his eighth and ninth homers of the season, as he now only trails José Abreu by one for the team lead. Moncada has shown that he is excellent against righties, and I like him hitting second as a result.

Tonight’s game will start at 7:10 CST, and it will be aired on NBC Sports Chicago+. It will also be audible on WGN 720.
