The simple game of baseball was on exhibit last night: pitching, bunting, and running. It worked marvelously, and the Chicago White Sox have a 1-0 series lead on the Toronto Blue Jays.

Tonight, the Boys in Black look to make it two-in-a-row with Iván Nova (2-3 and a 6.29 ERA) going to the mound. Nova is coming into this game with back-to-back quality starts and wins. He hopes to lower his ERA and go to .500 in a hopeful South Siders victory.

He will be backed up by these teammates:

As for Toronto, they hope to even the series at one with Aaron Sanchez taking the mound. Sanchez had ace-like stuff when the Sox last saw him on Mother’s Day, but he faltered in the fourth inning. Let’s hope that the fourth inning Sanchez comes to play.

However, Sanchez is 3-4 with a 3.75 ERA, so it is very possible that innings one through three Sanchez makes a full-length appearance during tonight’s ballgame.

His teammates will lineup as follows:

Before the game, the White Sox made a roster move:

The bullpen gets an extra arm, but there is still a vacated starter spot. That will need to be filled in time for Monday’s game, but in the meantime, the Sox’s focus resides in winning tonight’s game.

The game is scheduled for a 7:10 p.m. CT start. NBC Sports Chicago will be broadcasting while WGN-AM radio will be radio-ing.
