The 2018 World Series champion Boston Red Sox are in town for a four game series. The BoSox are not off to as hot of a start as they hoped, as the reigning World Series champs are just 14-17, good for fourth place in the AL East.
Lucas Giolito is back on the mound tonight after his 10-day injured list stint due to a hamstring strain. The last time we saw Giolito was April 17th, the infamous STICK TALK game. Giolito was taken out after 2 2⁄3 innings, his stuff arguably looking the best it had all season, as he struck out five and allowed no hits over in his brief appearance. Tonight, Gio looks to pick up where he left off. The White Sox need him to go deep into the game after yesterday’s doubleheader, as the bullpen could use a break.
Lefty David Price will take the mound for the Red Sox tonight. Price is off to a pretty good start to the season, his ERA is at 3.60.
