For the first time all season, your Chicago White Sox have won four straight games. In even more exciting news, if the South Siders can extend that streak to five, they will tie Cleveland for second place in the AL Central standings. It will be the first time that the Sox are in second place in the AL Central since early April 2018. The rebuild is slowly working, and this just gives a glimpse into a (hopefully) successful future of the franchise.
Dylan Covey is tasked with aiding the Good Guys to that fifth straight win. Covey is winless this season, so it’s the perfect time to earn his first victory. He has a rather high 5.47 ERA, but five is the number of games the Sox will try to win in a row, and 47 is the number of the opposition’s pitcher. Coincidence? I think not.
For tonight’s lineup, Leury García aims to extend his personal streak of three-hit games to four. He bats leadoff once again.

James McCann, after playing four consecutive games, is given a much needed off day. Seby Zavala will catch, and he bats ninth.
Covey and the Boys in Black will battle against Trevor Bauer. Bauer Outage is 4-4 and holds a 3.99 ERA. Historically, he has been very good against the Sox, but earlier this season, he was very gettable. On May 6, he went five innings; he gave up an astounding ten hits, eight runs (seven earned), and two home runs. If Trevor can repeat that performance, then the South Siders will be in great shape.

It’s a 7:10 CT start for a beautiful Friday night game. WGN has both the broadcast and radio. Let’s make it five in a row!
