After yesterday’s exciting extra-innings win, the Chicago White Sox are, yet again, one game under .500! Tonight would be a perfect night to reach .500. The Texas Rangers are a tough opponent, but without Joey Gallo and Hunter Pence, it is a gettable team.
In order to break-even, Odrisamer Despaigne will be the South Siders’ starting pitcher. He is 0-2 with a very dreary 8.71 ERA in just two starts. Hopefully, the third time is the charm, and Despaigne can pitch well and help the Sox earn that .500 win.
As for his mound opponent, former Cardinal Lance Lynn will take the bump for the Rangers. Lynn has started 15 games this season, and he is 8-4 with a mediocre 4.16 ERA.
The White Sox will line up as follows in order to get to Lynn:

Leury García is back in the leadoff spot, and Zack Collins will continue to bat eighth, but it is his first career start at the catcher position.
The Rangers will order themselves as follows in order to have an offensively explosive night against Despaigne:

Shin-Soo Choo stays in the leadoff spot, and Elvis Andrus bats third. It’s a decently strong lineup, so Despaigne must bring his best stuff to the mound; he will need it.
This is a peculiar Saturday night 8:05 CT start. However, like always, WGN will have your radio coverage, and NBC Sports Chicago will broadcast the game. I’m ready to get back to .500, and I’m sure the Boys in Black are too! Let’s make it happen!
