- Reynaldo Lopez gets the start for the White Sox tonight. He won just one of his six May starts. Now, while win-loss record is not a good indication of how well a pitcher is throwing, that stat is still a bit alarming. Lopez has allowed 19 hits and 13 earned runs in his last two outings. Let’s miss some bats tonight. We’ll see if Ricky pulls him after, oh, I don’t know...115 pitches this time?
- The Sox are lucky to miss Max Scherzer, but they’ll have to face Stephen Strasburg. When he’s healthy, he’s one of the better pitchers in the game. Strasburg went seven innings against a tough Atlanta lineup in his last outing, giving up just two earned runs while striking out 11. Get to him early to get to that awful bullpen, please.
- And, oh, by the way...the Sox are playing some good baseball. Vote Timmy, Lucas Giolito, James McCann and Alex Colome. Sure, let’s throw Yoan Moncada and Jose Abreu in there too! #VoteWhiteSox!
Lopey’s due for a good outing, right?
