After a tough Lucas Giolito outing, it’s Dylan Cease Day here on the South Side. We turn to Cease for a fighting chance against the home run-mashing Minnesota Twins. Nelson Cruz put on his own home run derby last night, tonight White Sox pitching tries to CEASE the slugfest. Ba dum tss.
Cease will take the bump for tonight’s game with a 6.19 ERA. In his last outing at Tampa Bay, he gave up a grand slam but afterwards settled down and was locked in. I’m thinking today will be a strong outing for him.
For the Twinkies tonight it is Michael Pineda, with an ERA of 4.41. Here’s to hoping the bats come alive tonight and the boys are able to chase Pineda from the game early.

Here is some happy news!
Jimenez in good spirits pregame. Almost convinced him to join in Renteria's pregame press conference. If no setbacks, I would expect both Jimenez and Anderson back Tuesday, although team has not set any dates officially
