After a tough, extra-innings loss last night, the Chicago White Sox have Lucas Giolito on the mound tonight looking for a quality outing. For the New York Mets, it is reigning Cy Young Jacob DeGrom. Pitcher’s duel, here we come.
Gio looks to bounce back after his last outing against the Minnesota Twins didn't go too well. Giolito’s ERA currently sits at 3.52, but over his last six games he owns a 6.38 ERA — not exactly what we would like.
DeGrom’s ERA is at 2.86, as he’s having another great year. It will be exciting to watch him and Gio duel it out tonight, and hopefully the South Side comes out on top.
Some bad news: Yoán Moncada is headed to the 10-day IL with a Grade 1 hamstring strain. It’s a very unfortunate turn, considering the season he has been having. Writers around the team are expecting him to be out two weeks, but here’s hoping Yoán heals more quickly than that.
Yoán Moncada was sent for an MRI today, which revealed a Grade 1 Hamstring Strain. He will go on the IL and will be re-evaluated in the coming days.

A.J. Reed batting cleanup again is highly questionable. Ryan Goins is the first to fill in for Moncada at third.
Ready to go. #LGM
