After Yoán Moncada’s near-cycle and three home runs from the Chicago White Sox, the Good Guys sought vengeance during last night’s ballgame against the Seattle Mariners. The South Siders came away victorious and plan to do the same today.

The young-and-ready Dylan Cease will step on the mound tonight with his 3-7 record, 6.53 ERA, and -0.5 WAR. Ceasefire has 68 strikeouts in 62 innings pitched, but he holds a 1.613 WHIP. Dylan’s feet are barely wet in his short-lived, 12-game major league career. He’ll look to dive deep tonight into a South Side win!

For Seattle, the ever-consistent Félix Hernández has had a rather inconsistent 2019 season. Career-wise, King Félix owns a 169-134 record, 3.41 ERA, and a 49.9 WAR. However, similar to Cease, Hernández has only pitched in 12 games this season — unlike Dylan, due to having been on the injured list for most of the 2019 campaign. During that dozen-game span, No. 34 established a 1-6 record, 6.96 ERA, -0.9 WAR, 47 strikeouts in 54.1 innings pitched, and a 1.564 WHIP. Based upon those results, it’s a pretty even matchup between the two starters.

Now, the fun part: lineups!

Yolmer “Homer” “Mr. Mickey Ears” “ Ashley Sanders’ favorite player” Carlos Sánchez is batting leadoff!

As for the sailors:

Kyle Seager positions his sails in the third spot, and our old pal Omar Narváez, who dons my No. 22, anchors himself in the fifth spot.

The 65-82 White Sox will try to win the weekend series against the 60-88 Mariners starting at 8:10 CT. NBC Sports Chicago is the ever-reliable broadcasting team, and the ol’ faithful WGN AM has your radio coverage. Lead us to a win, Yolmer!
