After last night’s game slipped between their fingers — multiple times — the Chicago White Sox are looking to avoid the sweep and are ready make their way back into the win column for the first time since last Friday.
In what was scheduled to be a Dylan Covey start, Covey has been ruled out with shoulder soreness. Iván Nova, instead of pitching his planned side-throwing session, will be the opener to tonight’s bullpen game.
The Minnesota Twins are sending Jake Odorizzi to the mound. Odorizzi, an Illinois native, is 2-1 against the Good Guys this season. With today being the fourth time that the South Siders will see Jake, it should be a matchup very much in favor of the Sox.

Tim Anderson has solidified the No. 2 spot in the batting order, and he plans to keep raising his MLB-leading batting average!

Nelson Cruz lands in the third spot of the order, and for the home runs he has hit against the Sox this season, I don’t think they’ve landed quite yet.
It’s the last game of the 2019 season against Minnesota. NBC Sports Chicago wil broadcast the 6:40 CT start; WGN AM has the radio as always. Let’s go into tomorrow’s offday with a win!
