Gamethread: White Sox at Angels

It’s futures day for the White Sox, with young talent up and down the order

No big whoop: Young fella Vaughn in his first pro camp, mashing baseballs, batting third.

Like the subhed says, it’s a day to showcase the young White Sox talent in the lineup, including Nick Madrigal, Andrew Vaughn, Yermín Mercedes and Luis González. Not a bad little “B” lineup.

Ross Detwiler takes the bump for the White Sox, working toward that Opening Day start in Charlotte.

On the other hand, the Angels bring their “A” lineup to the game, featuring Mike Trout, Anthony Rendon, Shohei Ohtani, Albert Pujols, Andrelton Simmons and Justin Upton. Lefty hurler Patrick Sandoval starts.

No TV or radio or webcast for this 2:10 CT start, unless you want to worm your way into an Angels TV or radio feed.
