The Chicago White Sox, having dropped to a .500 record at 5-5, look to reclaim a winning record during this afternoon’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Dylan Cease is making his second start of the spring. In his first outing, on February 23 against the Cincinnati Reds, Cease pitched two scoreless innings, surrendering three hits and striking out three batters.

Our neighbors up north are featuring Brandon Woodruff. Woodruff also has one start under his belt: a five-inning performance against the St. Louis Cardinals. He gave up six hits leading to two earned runs, but he did have five strikeouts.

The Sox are sending out a close-to-likely, still-missing-a-few-faces Opening Day lineup:

Tim Anderson is slotted at the No. 2 spot, and Nicky Delmonico has the honor of hitting fourth.

The Brew Crew is sending out a familiar face today:

Avisaíl García bats fifth and will be playing right field.

The South Siders look to snap their ever-important two-game losing streak at spring training today, beginning at 2:05 CT. Unfortunately, there will not be a visual for today’s contest, but WGN will have the radio broadcast from American Family Fields of Phoenix.

In the minutes before first pitch or even an hour after the final out, feel free to listen to my debut podcast on South Side Hit Pen for even more enjoyable White Sox content!

With the official day of spring right around the corner and the sun beginning to peek through the clouds, we might be due for a sunglasses appearance!
