At 7:10 p.m. CT, the Minnesota Twins will square off against today’s Opening Day starter, Lucas Giolito, and White Sox baseball will be officially under way!
Last year, Giolito established himself as the Chicago White Sox’s ace. With three complete games (two of which were shutouts), a 3.41 ERA, and a 14-9 record, Gioito had an all-star caliber season. Building off of last year’s momentum, Lucas is up to the task against a hefty lineup in the Twins.
The Twins are starting José Berríos, who is coming off an all-star season of his own doing as well. Berríos rocked a 3.68 ERA with a 14-8 record in his 2019 season. He’s a tough pitcher, but the Good Guys are ready for the challenge.
With many faces returning from last year, this lineup is still very different, but in a very improving way:

With newly-acquired Nomar Mazara on the injured list, Nicky Delmonico is tabbed for the start in right field. Yasmani Grandal and Edwin Encarnación fit into the fourth and fifth spots. For the rookie player we have all been waiting for, Luis Robert finds himself in the seventh spot in the order. The panther is ready to roll!

All players will commemorate Ed Farmer with a little patch on their jerseys.

As for the Twinkies, they still have all their 2019 thunder:

WIth thunder comes the rain in newly-acquried Josh Donaldson. Nelson Cruz, who hit three homes runs against Lucas Giolito in one game, finds himself in the clean-up role.
The game will be aired on NBC Sports Chicago at 7:10 p.m. CT, and WGN has the radio as per usual.
Giolito is looking to dominate the Twins and light the fire under the Sox for a momentum-driven ball game. It is a sprint of a season, but the South Siders are ready. Let’s go change the game, and let’s go earn that Opening Day victory! (The sunglasses are ITCHING to make an appearance!)
On the South Side, we're building something.

There were no shortcuts, because real change takes time.
